Position Overview
Full‑Time Store Manager Trainee at ALDI USA. This role involves training on all aspects of running a store, supervising day‑to‑day activities, ensuring performance, managing staff schedules and developing operational action plans.

Estimated Year‑1 earning potential:
Up to $142,000 (inclusive of salary and bonus when applicable) – estimate may vary by location.

- Supervise day‑to‑day operations and performance of the team to provide highest level of customer service.
- Understand overarching company strategy and communicate/craft core values to create teamwork and membership among employees.
- Handle customer concerns and ensure appropriate resolution.
- Ensure proper store signage and maintain quality and freshness of ALDI products.
- Assist in hiring store personnel by reviewing resumes, employment applications and interviewing candidates.
- Prepare, manage and revise weekly schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
- Conduct store meetings.
- Identify training and development opportunities to enhance direct reports’ performance.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations and recommend personnel for advancement or termination.
- Achieve store payroll and total loss budgets.
- Manage cash audits with direct leader according to company guidelines.
- Monitor competitive environment and recommend adjustments to maintain competitive position.
- Provide product feedback to direct leader, including recommendations regarding new items or discontinuation.
- Provide a safe environment by identifying and rectifying hazards and maintaining equipment in working order.
- Oversee product merchandising and maintain proper stock levels through appropriate ordering.
- Conduct store inventory counts and reconciliations per company guidelines.
- Comply with all established company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to stock merchandise from receiving to shelving; place product weighing up to 45 pounds on shelving at various heights.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry and walk about the store.
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Must be 18 years or older.

- Ability to safely and properly operate equipment (electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, cardboard baler) and perform cleaning duties to company standards.
- Ability to stay organized and multi‑task professionally and efficiently.
- Meets any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years progressive experience in a retail environment.
- Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
- Prior management experience preferred.
Store Manager Trainees often train at multiple locations and must have flexibility to travel within divisional requirements.
