DESCRIPTION:
Shopbop is seeking a Senior Assistant Buyer. This position will primarily support the private brands team as well as partnering with our receiving teams and vendors to ensure optimal results.
The right candidate will also assist in identifying and implementing process improvements.
Key job responsibilities
Set up new vendors
Enter, manage and organize all Purchase Orders
Process reorders, SIM issues, receiving issues, RTV's
Generate multiple reports for the buying team
Maintain vendor relationships and terms by responding quickly and accurately to both internal (company) and external (vendor) questions and requests for information. Research problems.
Assist in identifying process inefficiencies and making recommendations for process improvements in a timely manner.
Assist in other miscellaneous processes and procedures.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or above
- 2+ years of merchandising or planogram, or 3+ years of retail or customer facing experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word)
- Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Experience doing one of several roles: quantitative/financial analysis, retail buying, retail planning & allocation, product/project management, pricing, marketing or e-commerce
- Experience with strong project management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $48,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $103,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
