Sales Assistant

A fast‑growing toy company is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Wholesale Sales Assistant to support the sales team in managing key retail accounts, inventory coordination, and operational needs. This full‑time, in‑office role reports directly to the VP of Sales and is ideal for someone who is organized, collaborative, and experienced in the wholesale space—particularly with large retail partners.

You will assist with vendor setup, costing, presentations, and cross‑functional coordination with the production and inventory teams. A background working with national retailers like Walmart, Target, or Barnes & Noble is a major plus.

Responsibilities Sales & Account Support
  • Complete vendor setup forms and maintain accurate wholesale documentation
  • Assist in preparing costing sheets and price ticketing for retail accounts
  • Build and update PowerPoint presentations for buyer meetings and internal sales reviews
  • Coordinate communication with rep groups across various territories
  • Support the VP of Sales in daily sales operations and special projects
  • Monitor and manage the company’s wholesale platform (), ensuring product listings, imagery, and pricing are up to date
  • Create and maintain a “tag‑on” calendar and product item list to distribute to retailers, aligning with replenishment opportunities and seasonal follow‑ups
  • Assist in pulling sales reports and analyzing account performance for internal reviews
Inventory & Order Coordination
  • Work with the production team to place and track wholesale orders
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in planning replenishments
  • Ensure accurate order quantities based on retail forecasts and production timelines
  • Help identify slow‑moving SKUs and propose strategies for clearance, bundles, or retailer tag‑on opportunities
  • Partner with logistics to ensure smooth delivery flow, proactively resolving potential delays
Retailer & Market Coordination
  • Assist in managing wholesale processes with major retailers, especially Walmart, Target, and Barnes & Noble
  • Stay up to date on each retailer’s compliance, logistics, and ticketing requirements
  • Collaborate on item setup and assortment planning as needed
  • Support outbound sales efforts by preparing tailored retailer outreach (assortment recommendations, tag‑on opportunities, and general buyer inquiries)
Office Administration
  • Oversee day‑to‑day office operations, including ordering supplies, managing kitchen items (cups, utensils, coffee, etc.), and coordinating team lunches
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for office upkeep and vendor needs (cleaning, maintenance, deliveries)
  • Organize and support internal team events, meetings, and occasional staff celebrations
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in wholesale, sales support, or operations—ideally within toys or consumer products
  • Familiarity with major retailer systems (Walmart, Target, Barnes & Noble) is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel and Power Point
  • Highly organized and detail‑oriented with strong follow‑through
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
  • Comfortable balancing both administrative and sales responsibilities to add value across the organization
