Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. You will be responsible for engaging with customers, assisting with product selection, and maintaining the overall appearance of the store. Duties
  • Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their shopping needs.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering duties.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, enhancing customer engagement.
  • Assist in merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively on shelves and displays.
  • Maintain stock levels by restocking shelves and organizing inventory in the backroom.
  • Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory and sales effectively.
  • Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
  • Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store to create an inviting shopping environment.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills while interacting with customers, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive experiences for shoppers.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash accurately.
  • Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous; training will be provided if needed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in stocking, merchandising, or product demos is a plus.
  • Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries via phone when necessary.
  • A proactive approach to upselling products while maintaining customer satisfaction.
