Chelsea Market Baskets – Retail Team Opportunities in the Store or at our Office

Chelsea Market, 75 9th Ave, New York, NY 10011 and Jersey City, NJ

Starting at $20.00/hour, based on experience

Located inside the iconic Chelsea Market in Manhattan, our store is a fast-paced and creative retail environment serving both New Yorkers and visitors from around the world.

We are looking for friendly, reliable, and motivated people to join our team. We have both part-time and full-time opportunities available in our Chelsea Market retail store in New York City and at our office and warehouse in Jersey City, NJ.

Responsibilities may include:

Store:

• Providing excellent and welcoming customer service
• Assisting customers with product and gift selections
• Operating the cash register and processing sales
• Stocking and merchandising the store
• Maintaining an organized and attractive retail environment
• Working closely with the sales team and other areas of the company
• Helping during busy holiday and seasonal periods

Office:

• Providing excellent customer service by phone and email
• Assisting customers with product and gift selections
• Entering and processing customer orders
• Coordinating gift orders and corporate orders
• Responding to customer questions and following up on orders
• Communicating with the warehouse and retail teams to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time
• Assisting with invoices, paperwork, data entry, and general office duties
• Providing additional administrative support during our busy holiday season

We are looking for people who are dependable, organized, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and basic computer skills are important for our office positions.
Previous retail, specialty food, customer service, office, or gift experience is helpful, but we are also willing to train the right person.

We also have opportunities for candidates with more extensive retail or management experience, including positions involving retail management, purchasing, merchandising, and operations. Some positions may be based at our Jersey City warehouse and office.
Compensation for these positions will be based on experience and level of responsibility.
