Manhattans specialty food/natural retail market seeks experienced prepared food/counter clerks.
Candidates must possess excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills due to high level of customer interaction.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Assisting customers at the deli counter in making selections and making suggestions as needed
- Setting up and organizing coolers & freezers
- Setting up hot cases
- Unloading incoming shipment of deli items
- Assisting in monitoring inventory items and keeping deli managemant informed of items needed to be reordered
- Keeping deli clean and safe for customers & coworkers
- Must be knowledgeable of the health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Must be able to work well in a team environment
- Knowledgeable of deli equipment
- Open availability; shifts vary from morning, evenings, and weekends
- At least 1 year experience working in a deli
