About the role:
Our part time sales associate role is an important member of our small team, responsible for everything that happens daily in the shop. From opening, inventory processing, shipping online orders, visual merchandising and giving your customers styling suggestions. Most importantly, being yourself!
Responsibilities include:
- Talking to customers about their style and what we might have for them to add and try. - Product knowledge, fabric education for customers, awareness of trends and strong listening skills in order to make appropriate suggestions
- Conduct sales transactions on POS, accurately ringing up items and packing with care and attention
- Receiving and processing new inventory
- Monitoring incoming online sales, pack, and ship
- Keep the storefront prestine, like somewhere you'd like to shop (cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, etc). - Working independantly but with good ongoing communication via text and calls with colleagues as needed
This is a role for someone who - is comfortable handling situations on the fly, with kindness, professionalism, honesty, and integrity - wants to help a small business grow in the community - has a good eye for detail when it comes to styling and merchandising - engages easily with others, creates a welcoming environment - is savvy with POS ins and outs (Shopify experience preferred but if you are tech minded, we are happy to train!)
- reliable in attendance and following directions - is comfortable using their best judgement with the information they have
Schedule:
21 to 30 hours per week. Starting at $20/hour + discount on inventory. We are looking to start training the right candidate by October 15, 2026. We enjoy a long term retention rate for our staff, 3+ years on average.
