Retail Assistant Manager – overview and responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Store Leader and management team to supervise store employees and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching.
• Maintain high retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
• Assist in implementing merchandising and marketing programs.
• Oversee cash handling, fuel transactions, and promotion of the loyalty program.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with health and sanitation procedures and ensuring products are in-stock and presentable.
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication and intrapersonal skills.
• Proficient computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel).
• High School diploma or GED is preferred, but not required for candidates with at least one year of Retail Management experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with automotive liability insurance as required during employment.
• Ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with computer tools (Microsoft Office preferred).
