The Jewelry Planner/Merchandiser plans, manages, and monitors merchandise purchasing, receipt, and distribution across assigned departments to maximize sales and profitability. In partnership with the Buyer, this role develops and executes departmental strategies, manages product categories, oversees the MAP system, and leads and develops the merchandising team.
Responsibilities- Plan and monitor merchandise purchasing, receipt, and distribution across assigned departments.
- Partner with the Buyer to develop and execute departmental strategies and achieve financial objectives.
- Manage product categories and oversee the MAP system.
- Build strong supplier relationships and lead, coach, and develop the merchandising team.
- Support business needs, including occasional activities outside standard business hours.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SAP, Business Warehouse, and Business Objects.
- Knowledge of merchandise planning tools, including WSSI and assortment planning platforms.
- Previous people management experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
