At Joseph’s Classic Market, our Grocery Department Manager plays a key role in ensuring shelves are full, promotions are executed flawlessly, and guests can always find what they need. This role is responsible for the Grocery Department's merchandising, inventory, labor management, and team performance to ensure the department operates efficiently and delivers an exceptional shopping experience. This position manages the Grocery Department only and reports to the Grocery Supervisor and Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities:- Department Operations
- Oversee all grocery floor operations including dry goods, canned goods, beverages, dairy, frozen, and non-food items
- Maintain full, clean, and well-organized shelves and backroom storage areas
- Ensure all shelves, endcaps, and displays are stocked and rotated using FIFO
- Supervise opening and closing duties for the Grocery Department
- Coordinate product movement between storage, backstock, and sales floor
- Merchandising& Promotions
- Execute company merchandising plans and planograms
- Set and maintain attractive promotional displays
- Coordinate weekly ad sets, special promotions, and seasonal resets
- Ensure accurate signage, shelf tags, and pricing
- Keep high-traffic displays full, clean, and shoppable throughout the day
- Inventory & Ordering
- Order products from approved vendors based on par levels and sales trends
- Monitor and manage inventory to reduce shrink and overstocks
