Our client is seeking a highly creative, commercially minded Manager of Trend & Retail Concept to help shape the future vision of a girls' lifestyle brand. The role will include European trend and retail research, including competitive analysis of influential brands and retailers across the UK, France, Spain, Italy and other key European markets. Beyond product trend, this individual will have a strong understanding of the physical retail environment, including floor layouts, product adjacencies, fixturing, visual presentation and storytelling. The goal is not simply to identify trends, but to determine how those ideas can be interpreted for the U.S. consumer in a way that is aspirational, age-appropriate and commercially viable.

They may come from a girls', juniors', contemporary, fast-fashion or specialty retail environment and should naturally think across product + trend + merchandising, rather than viewing each area independently. Most importantly, this person needs to understand the difference between inspiration and imitation. They should also have a strong point of view around the physical shopping experience, from what product belongs together and where it should sit on the floor, outfitting, color stories and visual moments can make the assortment feel exciting and new.
