* * Champion the vision and culture of Bergdorf Goodman while balancing brand loyalty to both BG and the vendor
* Increase sales growth and overall department performance with company vision and values, partnering with leaders
* Oversee all merchandise-related operations, including presentation standards, returns, damages, and vendor/merchant communication
* Lead team execution across department functions, identifying and addressing risks or roadblocks
* Contribute to store-wide strategic goals by establishing departmental priorities and building aligned projects
* Partner with Buyers to review business performance and implement action plans to improve results
* Collaborating with Client Development Leads to establish and execute client engagement strategies
* Analyze customer behavior, trends, and feedback—both internal and external—to inform and adapt department strategies (e.g., focus programs)
* Plan and manage the departmental budget, ensuring adherence to expense guidelines while maximizing revenue
* Enforce audit compliance and uphold department and stockroom operational controls.
* Lead, develop, and manage team performance to achieve business and service objectives
