Seasonal Embroiderer

Abbode is looking for detail-oriented, calm-under-pressure individuals to join our team embroidering in our New York City storefront. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves hands-on work, has a creative eye, and enjoys being part of high-energy environments.

This is a seasonal position with the possibility of extension.

Seasonal embroiderers will be required to work December 23rd and 26th-30th.

• Independently operate Brother embroidery machines in the Abbode store.

• Set up and manage your embroidery station, including threading, hooping, and troubleshooting

• Work quickly and accurately in high-volume environments

• Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure customer orders are completed correctly and efficiently

• Transport and care for embroidery equipment and materials during events

• Ensure correct completion of orders under time pressure and quality control your work

• Support the fulfillment team at the Abbode store or office with embroidery, prepping, and organizing as needed

• Experience with Brother or Melco machines is preferred but not mandatory

• Preference given to those with embroidery experience - also open to machine sewing experience

• Comfortable working live events and interacting with customers

• Strong time management skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure

• Flexible availability, including weekends and afternoons/evenings

• Creative mindset and attention to detail — we love working with people who have an eye for design and personalization

• Bonus: interest in embroidery, fashion, or hands-on making
