Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 9:30 AM-4:30 PM | Full-Time

North Shore Quilting is a vibrant, welcoming quilt shop offering high-quality fabrics, sewing supplies, sewing machines, and classes for makers of all skill levels. We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service, a creative atmosphere, and a strong sense of community.

We're looking for a friendly, reliable Retail Store Associate with sewing experience who enjoys helping customers, sharing their passion for sewing, and keeping our shop running smoothly.

As a Retail Store Associate, you'll help customers find the perfect fabrics and supplies for their projects, assist with everyday store operations, and create a welcoming shopping experience. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys sewing, working with people, and being part of a creative team.

Greet customers warmly and help them select fabrics, notions, patterns, and other sewing supplies.

Use your sewing knowledge to understand customer projects and recommend appropriate products.

Cut fabric accurately and assist customers with project planning.

Demonstrate sewing machines and products when appropriate.

Answer customer questions and resolve concerns professionally.

Store Operations

Process sales, returns, and transactions using our Shopify point-of-sale system.

Manage online orders, customer pickups, and related communications.

Receive, organize, price, and display merchandise.

Assist with inventory counts and keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing.

Answer phone calls and respond to customer emails.

Classes & Events

Help organize class registrations and support workshops and store events.

Assist with classroom and event setup and breakdown, as needed.

Help prepare materials and supplies for classes and special events.

Work with the team to ensure classes and events run smoothly and customers feel welcome.

Sewing experience is required. Familiarity with quilting, fabrics, and sewing techniques is a strong plus.

Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Comfortable using email, phones, computers, and point-of-sale systems.

Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift at least 40 pounds.

Available to work Tuesday through Saturday, 9:30 AM-4:30 PM .
