Overview
Our client, a vertically integrated cannabis manufacturing company in the Albany region, is expanding their team with a Sales Executive to drive retail partnerships and brand presence across New York. This is a field-based role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, early-stage environments and wants to be the face of a diverse product line that includes flower, infused pre-rolls, vapes, and gummies.
Location: New York (Field-Based Role)
CompensationBase pay range $80,000.00/yr - $/yr
Additional compensation types Commission
Compensation: Base pay + Commission (3%-6% tiered structure) | Company Car or Travel Stipend & Reimbursements
Responsibilities- Represent the brand in the field, building strong relationships with dispensary buyers and decision-makers
- Secure shelf space and increase sell-through across all product categories
- Educate bud tenders and staff on product features, effects, and use cases
- Identify opportunities for new partnerships, upsells, and expansions within existing accounts
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (operations, compliance, R&D) to ensure supply meets demand and expectations
- Gather feedback from the market to inform product strategy, pricing, and innovation
- Support new product launches and promotional campaigns
- Maintain a territory plan and track performance metrics against KPIs
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in cannabis, CPG, or beverage/alcohol
- Strong local market knowledge and existing dispensary relationships are a plus
- Confident communicator and natural relationship-builder
- Highly motivated, self-driven, and comfortable working independently in the field
- Able to navigate startup ambiguity and wear multiple hats as needed
- Passionate about cannabis and its evolving role in wellness, recreation, and retail
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly throughout New York
- Proficiency in CRM software and experience managing a sales pipeline
- Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts and tasks simultaneously
- Team player with a collaborative mindset
