Overview

The Commercial Manager is responsible for supporting marketing and sales commercialization programs and initiatives for The Honickman Companies. This position involves the collection, analysis and distribution of commercial execution performance reporting in support of our sales and marketing teams.

Major Duties/Responsibilities
  • Sales Performance Analytics & Reporting:
    Support the sales organization in the collection, analysis and communication of in-market sales execution performance, including weekly/monthly sales performance, targeted initiatives and incentives, innovation and distribution scorecards, sales volume, displays, and new account reporting. Develop and maintain Excel and Power BI based analytical tools for performance tracking. Create and distribute necessary sales execution reporting. Gather data on competitors and analyze pricing, sales, and marketing methods.

    Monitor industry statistics and follow trends in trade literature.
  • Sales Support:
    Participate in weekly commercial council and sales & operations planning (S&OP) meetings. Prepare content for weekly/monthly sales and distributor meetings, AOP/annual operating plan meetings and special initiatives. Coordinate point-of-sale material for new product launches. Create and distribute launch letters. Prepare presentations and literature for the sales team. Maintain sales content (merchandising standards, new products, launch letters, sales decks) on SharePoint for front-line access.
  • Commercialization Stage Gate Process:
    Support the Stage Gate process for emerging brands and categories, assist with new product launches from concept to execution in partnership with Sales leadership, and measure the effectiveness of new product introductions and related programs.
  • Brand Partnership & Management:
    Support marketing and sales teams in sales blitzes, incentives and brand promotions; ensure alignment with internal stakeholders in Sales and Operations; leverage local and national media from brand partners; provide market data insights at national and local levels.
  • Marketing Strategy & Support:
    Partner with internal print media teams supporting marketing and sales programs; coordinate with sales teams on all POS creative, ordering requirements, coupons, and equipment for relevant brands and packages.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Statistical analysis and planning or market research concepts; experience with new products, branding, advertising and customer satisfaction research methodologies.
  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint; advanced Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI); internet-savvy with Web technology.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas, facts and recommendations effectively.
  • Interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels; open-mindedness to work with diverse cultures and corporate personnel.
  • Excellent follow-up, project management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task; able to work independently with little direction.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical and modeling skills; familiarity with online social networking and general Web features.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Business Analytics or a related field.
  • Experience:

    Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or marketing, preferably within the beverage or consumer packaged goods industry.
Compensation

Base pay range: $58,500.00/yr - $86,900.00/yr

Potential earnings from $58,500.00 to $86,900.00 annually.
