Overview
Insurance Agent (Base salary + Uncapped commissions)
Base pay range$55,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr
The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by skills, experience, education, certifications and location. Some roles may include commission and/or bonus earnings. Pay details vary by compensation plan.
Responsibilities- Grow and maintain a strong local network and in-person relationships in the Clifton Park, NY area.
- Build relationships with customers to identify insurance needs and provide appropriate solutions (Auto, Home, Life, etc.).
- Participate in in-office activities required by the role.
- Prospect, present, and close insurance solutions with prospects and existing customers.
- Through a combination of base salary, bonuses, and uncapped commissions, total first-year compensation ranges from $55k - $75k.
- Potential for top performers to earn over $100k in their first year.
- Uncapped pay with renewal commissions contributing to earnings growth.

Preferred Experience
- Previous employment in a sales role with success turning prospects into customers.
- A state insurance license—or willingness to earn one with training and support—in Property & Casualty, and Life.
- Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Strong persuasion and negotiation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with customers
- Time management and organizational abilities
- Ability to learn insurance coverage and underwriting guidelines
- Experience with finding, building, and growing leads and customer base
