This role is remote within the NYC Metro Area and requires regular in‑market travel, with approximately 20–25% travel for trade shows, distributor visits, and key accounts. Must have reliable transportation to fulfill travel and territory responsibilities plus your own computer—and enough hustle to match the pace of a rapidly scaling food brand.
Key Responsibilities- Drive sales across food service, and distribution channels in and around the New York City Metro area
- Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, chefs, distributors, and key accounts.
- Deliver compelling pitches that get our products placed—and keep them moving.
- Identify new account opportunities, from independent restaurants to regional chains that are hungry for better plant‑based options.
- Conduct in‑store visits, samplings, and trainings to increase product awareness and velocity.
- Serve as the face of The BE Hive in your territory, representing our mission and values with pride.
- Develop and execute territory sales plans that align with our scaling goals.
- Monitor category trends, competitor activity, and market data to inform strategy.
- Provide feedback to the executive team to help guide product, pricing, and promotional decisions
- Participate 25% monthly travel for events, trade shows, trainings, and key account meetings.
- Host or support demos, food shows, and community events that elevate brand awareness.
- Champion our mission of making plant‑based food more accessible and freaking delicious.
- 2–5+ years of experience in food/ beverage sales (ideally, food service)
- Strong network or experience in food service, or distributor relations.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Self‑motivated, organized, and hungry (metaphorically—but also literally, we hope).
- Tech‑savvy: CRM‑friendly, spreadsheet‑capable, and comfortable with modern sales tools.
- Ability to manage a territory independently and efficiently.
- Must live in the NYC Metro Area
- Must have reliable transportation and your own computer.
- Comfortable with monthly travel (trade shows, in‑store visits, key meetings, market checks, etc.).
- Passion for sustainability, plant‑based food, and building something from the ground up.
