After a record year of sales, we’ve recently raised a new round of funding to expand the team and scale our impact.

The Role

We’re hiring a Head of Sales as our first dedicated sales hire. This is a senior, high‑impact role with full ownership of revenue and go‑to‑market execution. You will work directly with the CEO to build, lead, and scale Breakthru’s sales function from the ground up. This role is ideal for a builder who thrives in early‑stage environments, enjoys owning strategy and execution, and wants the opportunity to grow into a VP‑level or executive sales leader as the company scales.

Job Description
  • Own and scale the full sales cycle from lead generation through close
  • Build and manage pipeline across political, health, and nonprofit verticals
  • Develop and execute Breakthru’s go‑to‑market and sales strategy in partnership with the CEO
  • Lead demos and clearly articulate the value of our AI‑powered youth engagement platform
  • Create proposals, pricing structures, and scopes of work tailored to enterprise and institutional clients
  • Forecast revenue and maintain accurate CRM reporting and sales metrics
  • Collaborate closely with product and customer success to ensure strong handoffs and retention
  • Represent Breakthru in high‑level partner meetings, conferences, and industry events
  • Build sales materials, playbooks, and repeatable outbound processes
  • Hire and mentor future sales team members as revenue scales
About You
  • 3‑7+ years of experience in B2B sales, partnerships, or revenue leadership
  • Proven track record closing complex or consultative deals
  • Experience selling into political, health, nonprofit, or mission‑driven organizations strongly preferred
  • Comfortable operating in a founder‑led, early‑stage startup environment
  • Strategic thinker who can also execute day‑to‑day sales work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly motivated, resourceful, and accountable
  • Based in New York or willing to work closely with the NYC‑based team
