Business Development Manager – Building Automation Systems (BMS)

OTE: $500,000+ (Uncapped Commission)

Are you a high-performing sales professional ready to dominate the NYC market in the building automation space? We’re hiring a Business Development Manager to spearhead sales for commercial BMS (Building Management Systems) projects—new construction and retrofits.

This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing, independent controls contractor with strong technical capabilities, a solid reputation, and ambitious growth plans.

About the Role:

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Driving new business across NYC’s commercial construction and real estate markets
  • Targeting general contractors, MEP engineers, consultants, and building owners
  • Managing the full sales cycle—from prospecting to close
  • Collaborating with internal engineering and delivery teams to ensure technical alignment
  • Representing the company at key industry events and networking opportunities

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A proven sales hunter with 5+ years in BMS, HVAC controls, or smart building solutions
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction and building system integrations
  • Well-connected in the NYC construction ecosystem
  • A motivated self-starter who thrives on performance-based earnings
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
