Sales Engineer – Ada Core

As a Sales Engineer, your role at Ada Core is to ensure front‑line technical success and commercial development across our markets. You will engage customers with diverse domains – from civilian and military aerospace to autonomous vehicles and finance – and use your deep technical expertise in the Ada and SPARK programming language ecosystems to advocate Ada Core’s technologies as the premier solution for secure and safety‑critical systems.
You will also help generate new opportunities for our Rust product portfolio.
- Develop technical rapport with key stakeholders and act as a Technical Advisor.
- Leverage your background in Ada Core’s technologies to guide customers in adopting new products.
- Advocate customer needs by collaborating with Product Managers and Engineering.
- Develop custom proposals with Account and Product Managers to solve complex challenges.
- Facilitate successful evaluations of new products and services with potential and current customers.
- Drive product presentations and lead technical discussions in pre‑sales and post‑sales engagements.
- Evangelize the Ada/SPARK and Rust programming languages for safety‑critical development.
- Interact with Product Management to understand product positioning and field‑based technology trends.
- Represent Ada Core at trade shows, conferences, and educational events.
- Develop best practices from customer engagements to grow the subscription base and reputation.
- 3–5 years experience as a Field Application Engineer or 5+ years as an Embedded Critical Software Developer.
- Experience with embedded software development and understanding of embedded system considerations.
- Knowledge of test‑driven development, QA procedures, static analysis, and continuous integration.
- Familiarity with industry‑standard tooling (version control, static analysis, testing tools).
- Strong technical presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Comfortable with domestic and international travel (~25–35%).
- Ability to thrive autonomously, balancing long‑term and short‑term responsibilities with limited oversight.
Ada Core offers competitive compensation, benefits, and thoughtful perks to support employees on and off the job. Salary range: $150,000 – $170,000, dependent on experience and location.
