The Department of Surgery is seeking a Part Time Research Associate. The primary role will be to enhance an existing cardiac surgical video analysis pipeline by expanding anatomy recognition models to support AI-assisted surgery.

• Maintain and augment the existing pipeline of surgical video analysis modules
• Develop a pipeline using Segment Anything 2 for semi-automated anatomy segmentation
• Aiding other module development related to AI-assisted cardiac surgery.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree required.

• Experience with deep learning projects, Pytorch familiarity preferred
• Currently enrolled in a graduate or PhD program preferred

• Intermediate coding experience in Python
