SCIENTIST; Chemistry; 3rd Shift; Overnights

Shift: 1st Shift 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Hourly Rate: $29.31/hour (final pay based on experience, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities).

A Scientist I in Quality Control responsible for analytical chemistry, chromatographic methods including troubleshooting. Directs and provides guidance to associate scientists.

• Be able to articulate work related issues clearly and effectively to management and peers.
• Perform accurate routine testing utilizing instrumental methods of analysis (HPLC, TLC, FTIR, pH, UV-Vis) with emphasis on chromatography to meet departmental objectives.
• Update and route SOPs, MOAs, Specifications through Documentum as delegated by supervisor.
• Perform troubleshooting of instrumentation by applying problem solving skills.
• Provide guidance to Associate Scientist personnel when necessary.
• Document testing in compliance with Good Documentation Practices.
• Manage work and time based on departmental priorities using own judgement and objective reasoning.
• Perform peer review of data to ensure compliance and accuracy.

• BS in Chemistry, Biology, or related physical science; typical 2+ years of related experience in the pharmaceutical industry with familiarity with cGMP and FDA regulations.
• Hands‑on experience and knowledge of chromatographic methods and related chromatography data systems (e.g., Empower). Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). Must be flexible with continually changing projects and priorities.
