OverviewWe are seeking a Building Risk Assessment and Mitigation Lead to strengthen our organization's ability to assess, communicate, and mitigate risks across global workspace projects. In this role, you will lead efforts to systematically identify vulnerabilities, enhance physical security design, and develop a comprehensive protective design framework for both new and existing properties worldwide. You'll collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that security best practices are integrated seamlessly throughout the entire project lifecycle — from site selection through ongoing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct physical security assessments and remote site surveys to evaluate current system effectiveness.
- Identify and analyze threats and vulnerabilities within physical security designs, installations, configurations, and maintenance practices.
- Document, categorize, and prioritize risks based on likelihood and potential impact.
- Develop and recommend cost-effective design solutions to mitigate identified risks, including supplemental security programs.
- Produce detailed, easy-to-understand risk assessment reports summarizing findings, risk levels, and recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all assessments, findings, and mitigations across the project lifecycle.
- Design and implement a Protective Design Framework that integrates with real estate and project development processes.
- Develop and refine physical security assessment and design playbooks.
- Collaborate across global and regional security teams to improve information sharing and alignment.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for physical security best practices, offering practical guidance to project teams.
- Lead regional assessments and provide project-specific risk mitigation support.
- Act as the primary liaison between project teams and security stakeholders.
- Conduct stakeholder briefings, “page-turn” reviews, and training sessions to promote security awareness.
- Participate in global working groups to advance protective design strategies and share regional insights.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in physical security, risk management, or a related field.
- Proven experience conducting physical security assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies.
- Strong understanding of physical security systems (e.g., access control, CCTV, intrusion detection).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Demonstrated project management experience, with a record of driving initiatives to completion.
- Experience working within a large, global enterprise environment.
- Familiarity with relevant physical security standards and regulations (e.g., Martyn's Law).
- Understanding of building design and construction processes.
- Professional certifications such as PSP (Physical Security Professional), CPP (Certified Protection Professional), or equivalent.
