As a Security Officer - Government Facility Patrol - Full Time in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer working in a government location, you will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas and stay visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while creating a welcoming environment for those you encounter. What You’ll Do
  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the location, including assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and location guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help deter potential issues and observe for unusual activity.
  • Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious behavior in accordance with company and location procedures.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to staff, visitors, and the public.
  • Collaborate with location staff, first responders, and/or law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Remain alert and attentive to the surroundings, adapting to changing conditions within the government environment.

Minimum Requirements
  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
