As a Security Officer - Hospital Entrance Patrol in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the premises in a vehicle.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, support emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and general information as needed.
• Support the enforcement of facility policies and procedures to maintain order within the location.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when required.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
