As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Full-Time in Lawrence, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct regular patrols and maintain a strong presence to help deter security-related incidents. In this armed position, you will interact with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and respond to situations with professionalism and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and report any irregularities or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as required during incidents.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all activities, incidents, and observations during patrols.
• Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols for armed security-related duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience or a college degree is required.
• One or more years of security experience is required.
• One or more years of law enforcement experience or two or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or three or more years of security experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
