Schedule: Monday – Friday, 07:30 AM – 04:30 PM

Job Summary: Observe and report activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing security and safety of client property and personnel. Perform periodic patrols, preserve order, and enforce regulations concerning personnel, visitors, and premises. The role requires the ability to stand for the majority of the workday.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe, secure environment for students, staff, and guests inside the school.
• Establish and maintain good rapport with parents, students, staff, and community members.
• Monitor hallways, stairwells, restrooms, outdoor areas, and other public or unsupervised spaces to ensure safety and security.
• Assist with fire drills, crises, and other emergency evacuations.
• Assist administrators and staff during crisis and emergency situations.
• Ensure smooth traffic flow of students through hallways, facilitating on‑time arrival to class and assigned locations.
• Supervise and direct student movement during arrival and dismissal.
• Update security records, logs, and reports.
• Secure all doors and gates and engage alarms at designated times.
• Assist staff and emergency personnel in handling emergencies and de‑escalating disruptive situations on campus.
• Perform daily operational duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Valid NYS Security Guard License
• 3+ years of experience in the security industry
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to verbally de‑escalate situations
• Reliable transportation
• Proficient in written and spoken English
