As a Security Officer - Armed Patrols in Queens, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. What You’ll Do

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor for and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and/or disruptions within the location.
• Carry and responsibly handle assigned firearms in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during incidents.
• Follow all Allied Universal protocols and client-specific instructions while on duty.

• Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and provide proof as required by the client.
• Must possess a valid Corrections Officer License and/or Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
