Sometimes the threat to life, destruction of critical infrastructure or damage to the environment is so severe that a specially trained and equipped security force is needed. When that happens, Inter-Con turns to its Security Officers. As part of this elite team you will secure some of our most vital assets. You will be trained in enhanced security procedures and be exposed to cutting edge technology.

The qualifications are high and the training is rigorous, but if you make it you’ll join one of the most exclusive clubs in the Inter-Con family. As an Security Officer you are at the tip of the spear when it comes to the advanced security solutions we provide our clients every day.

• Minimum 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Completed required training and registration per Security Guard Act; valid NYSDOS photo
• Valid New York State Driver License
• Valid Fire Guard (F-00/F-01/F-32/F-36/F-91) Certification
• Ability to stand or walk for an 8-hour shift
• Ability to climb stairs
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs
• Adequate eyesight for s
• Typing and computer skills
• Valid TSA Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
• OSHA 10 (General Industry Safety and Health)
• Two years of one of the following: military experience (active duty with honorable discharge), National Guard/Reserves, NYSDOS NY security guard, Police/Probation/Corrections officer

• Work at client sites indoors or outdoors
• Prolonged standing and walking during security activities
• Open availability Nights, Weekends, Holidays and overtime as directed
• Work various shifts and holidays as assigned
