As a Security Guard - Retail Patrols in New York, NY
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a welcoming environment for all visitors. Your presence and proactive approach will contribute to a secure atmosphere, while your customer service skills will help foster positive interactions.

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or hazards encountered during patrols.
• Interact professionally with the public, tenants, and staff to address inquiries and/or concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or activities according to Allied Universal policies.
• Support access control by monitoring entrances and exits as required by site-specific guidelines.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or first aid is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
