As a Security Officer - NYS Licensed Government Patrols in Brooklyn, NY

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with both team members and visitors.

What You'll Do Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.

Observe and report any unusual activity or potential threats to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

Maintain a visible presence at the location to help deter potential incidents and provide reassurance to personnel and visitors.

Assist with access control by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points as required by site-specific procedures.

Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly as part of Allied Universal's protocols.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
