Position: Security Specialist III

Salary Range: $45–$55/hour

Martek Global Services, Inc. (Martek) is working with TIC Security to support the Securities Exchange Commission.

• Assist with physical security and safety inspections, identifying vulnerabilities, assessing risks, and recommending security measures.
• Assist with special projects to resolve security issues.
• Review and apply security best practices and ensure compliance with ISC Standards and HSPD-12.
• Assist in gathering and utilizing information to determine the need for additional law enforcement support.
• Provide security incident write‑ups.
• Serve as a lead on the Agency’s Access Control System, including:
  • Generate and review footage from the CCTV system.
  • Generate and review security reports on alarm activation and access violations.
  • Interface with other divisions to create and maintain access control lists.
  • Assist with periodic quality reviews of /Access badge records.
  • Run ad‑hoc reports from Access Control Systems used at the SEC.
• Assist with distribution of routine security reports extracted by headquarters and field office systems.
• Review requests for access control changes and make recommendations.
• Support the SEC’s implementation of HSPD-12.
• Work professionally with all levels of management and staff.
• Maintain security and investigative records, ensuring preservation of evidence and chain of custody.
• Perform additional duties such as access badge issuance and revocation support.
• Assist with building emergencies, OEP drills, and COOP activations.

Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of operational support work experience, or eight years of security work experience in lieu of the degree.

Experience Requirements:

• Knowledge and experience with federal, state, and local law enforcement and federal security regulations, policies, and best practices.
• Excellent data entry, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent office and organizational skills.
• Experience communicating policies orally and in writing.
• Good customer service skills and ability to interact with a variety of people.
• Knowledge of physical security measures, access control procedures, and CCTV.
