Data Science Manager, IT Specialist
Overview
The Security Manager will collaborate with the Director of Security to ensure the safety of employees, tenants and visitors throughout the organization. He/she will identify security initiatives and work to constantly update security guidelines and procedures. The Security Manager will maintain oversight for security supervisors, as well as security officers, and will patrol portfolio properties to ensure the safety of buildings and tenants.
The Security Manager will assist in the management of the company response to natural and manmade disasters.
- 3pm - 11pm (Days off: Sunday & Monday)
- Assist the Sr. Security Manager in setting goals and planning for the future
- Communicate physical and technical security strategies to company employees
- Ensure appropriate staffing and schedules for areas under supervision
- Respond promptly to calls of security breaches and other incidents reported by tenants, employees, or staff
- Collaborate with senior management to maintain best practices for security policies and procedures and document disciplinary matters as appropriate
- Liaise with government agencies and area law enforcement to ensure property safety
- Provide leadership, direction, guidance and training to Security Guards under supervision
- Manage additional responsibilities within the security organization as necessary
- Serve as a resource and catalyst for sustainability at The Durst Organization; apply core job skills to integrate sustainability into processes and procedures
The successful candidate will articulate area security issues, document short- and long-term plans, and understand physical security strategies, policies, procedures and standards. They will think critically through complex situations and demonstrate technical knowledge in defining access control, asset protection, business continuity and disaster recovery planning.

- HR-218 Certification, NYS Armed Guard License, and a Valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License at the time of hire
- Active NYC Unrestricted Concealed Carry Handgun License or ability to obtain one
- Basic First Aid, CPR and AED certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field or equivalent experience
- 15 years of relevant work experience in law enforcement and/or security operations with at least five years in a managerial capacity
$75,000 - $95,000
