As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Unarmed Part-Time in NEW YORK, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. You will monitor and patrol government locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence.

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or irregularities encountered during patrols.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter potential disturbances and promote a secure environment at the government location.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while on patrol.
• Follow all Allied Universal policies and procedures, as well as any site-specific instructions provided by the client.

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal may consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
