Role:
Security Officer - Government Site Patrol in Brooklyn, NY. You will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to support a positive atmosphere, and provide excellent customer service and communication.

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to deter unwanted activity and to observe and report any unusual circumstances.
• Observe and report incidents, hazards, or suspicious activity encountered during patrols.
• Communicate and collaborate with team members and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters at the location.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter potential disturbances and provide reassurance to the public and staff.
• Complete required documentation and reports accurately and promptly as related to security-related activities.

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
