As a Security Officer Full Time Access Authorization in Valhalla, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer at a utilities location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and support a welcoming, secure environment for employees and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and help deter incidents through a professional presence.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors at a utility location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor and control access to facilities, restricted areas, and/or critical infrastructure by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor records, and directing authorized personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required access-control logs, incident documentation, and shift activity records.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
