Putnam County Sheriff’s Department seeks qualified applicants for the position of Special Patrol Officer. Applicants must be retired police, correction, parole or probation officers, per NYS General Municipal Law §209-v.
This part-time role involves maintaining order and providing security in and around public buildings and courtrooms. Incumbents have all the powers of a peace officer when performing duties protecting people and property.
