As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment.

Pay Rate: $20.40 - $21.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sun: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other campus community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, grounds, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, hazards, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain professional communication with campus stakeholders and emergency responders as needed.

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
