Job PurposeTo repair refrigeration and HVAC mechanical and electrical systems throughout retail locations to support operations and minimize product loss, while ensuring partner satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Maintain refrigeration and HVAC systems in retail locations.
- Perform repairs on equipment such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, electrical and mechanical control devices efficiently and safely.
- Communicate regularly with Site Management regarding maintenance activities.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and operating deficiencies.
- Provide timely updates on job progress.
- Proactively check for refrigerant leaks and perform repairs.
- Maintain assets to high standards.
- Perform preventive maintenance checks as scheduled.
- Monitor and log refrigerant usage.
- Keep machine and electrical rooms clean and safe.
- Coordinate with store personnel to maintain refrigerated product integrity.
- Participate in the company's emergency after-hours call program.
- Assist with troubleshooting issues.
- Complete equipment inventories as assigned.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with rack systems, display cases, and walk-ins preferred.
- Journeyman qualification or equivalent experience in refrigeration and HVAC.
- EPA certification for refrigerant handling (Class I & II or universal).
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Authorization to work in the U.S. or ability to obtain it.
- Successful pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Knowledge of supermarket refrigeration, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems preferred.
- Basic computer skills including Refrigeration Controller Technology, Outlook, and Excel.
- Self-motivated with previous relevant experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and make quick decisions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High integrity and reliability.
$25.00+ per hour.
