A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Facilities Technician
.

Position Type: Full time Contract, Contract to Hire

Duration: 6-12 months

Location: Amityville, NY 11701

• Be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the facility's structure, equipment and grounds, including all trades (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.).
• Perform trades work, such as carpentry or painting, in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures.
• Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
• Use blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
• Basic computer skills.
• Have knowledge of applicable standards or regulations, and may require specific trade certifications.
• Work to achieve operational targets within job area which has moderate impact on the overall achievement of results for the team. Work is of moderate scope, typically on larger, task-related activities.

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• High knowledge/skills in facilities operations and maintenance
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications
• Use of software to authenticate work orders and preventative maintenance
• Follow EHS policies and procedures

• Licenses Electrical Journeyman
• Specialized training (Plumbing, HVAC, etc.)
• Working knowledge of a CMMS

Pay Range: $35-$38 per hour

* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
