HVAC Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking a part-time HVAC Technician to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, safety-minded, and able to work independently while representing AK Light Electric Corp with professionalism.

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems
• Perform routine maintenance, tune-ups, and inspections
• Install HVAC equipment and components as needed
• Troubleshoot system issues and provide clear recommendations to customers
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and local codes
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members
• Provide excellent customer service during every job

• EPA 608 Certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of HVAC service experience preferred
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical components, and diagnostic tools
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and customer service skills

• Part-time: Flexible scheduling (typically 15–25 hours/week; hours vary based on workload)
• Occasional emergency/after-hours calls may be available
• Compensation: Competitive hourly pay based on experience
