Maintenance Mechanic

The Plant Operations Department on the Manhattan campus is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team! The Maintenance Mechanic position is vital for maintaining the functionality of our facilities and equipment. Key responsibilities typically include:
- Performing inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and systems.
- Diagnose and repair machinery, understand mechanical systems, and work with various hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems.
- Understand HVAC systems and their maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Current NYC Fire Department Certificates of Fitness
- HS/GED required
- Two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Mechanical, plumbing, electrical and strong troubleshooting skills are required.
