Position Summary:

Responsible for the start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of Automatic Temperature Control systems. Utilizes knowledge of electronics, direct digital control, airflow, hydronics, refrigeration, air conditioning theory, and control techniques.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform service assignments at various customer sites, including upgrades, testing, program loading, start-up, commissioning, and project management. Ability to schedule and perform small service projects independently is a plus.
  • Use hand tools and interpret control drawings, plans, and specifications to install, test, program, and service Building Management Systems.
  • Analyze, diagnose, and repair direct digital control systems on-site.
  • Possess low voltage electrical experience.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as needed.
  • Prepare for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layouts, anticipating difficulties, and coordinating work.
  • Provide and follow-up on customer training.
  • Generate sales leads and document work thoroughly, including work orders, timesheets, reports, and cost data.
  • Represent the company as a customer contact when necessary.
  • Identify parts needed for repairs and maintain current knowledge of Delta products and DDC systems.
  • Provide technical support to customers and maintain company vehicles and tools.
  • Travel regularly to project sites and work overtime/weekends as required.
  • Qualifications:
    • Ability to read and write simple correspondence and memos.
    • Effective communication skills for interactions with customers and team members.
    • Technical and mathematical comprehension, proficient with laptops and computer systems.
    • Knowledge and experience in HVAC and control systems, including reading HVAC, control, and electrical drawings.
    • Valid Driver's License.
    • Physical ability to stand, sit, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
