As a Mobile Semi Trailer Mechanic specializing in reefer repairs, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining refrigerated trailers (reefers) and semi-trailers at client locations and roadside breakdowns. This is a mobile position, where you will travel to customer sites within the greater Aquebogue area, working independently to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently. You will be equipped with a fully stocked service vehicle and will serve as the face of Interstate Fleet Services, delivering high‑quality, professional service to our clients in the trucking industry.

• Perform on‑site diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance on refrigerated trailers (reefers) and semi‑trailers, focusing on refrigeration units such as Thermo King and Carrier.
• Respond to roadside breakdowns and emergency service calls, providing timely and efficient solutions to minimize downtime for clients.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and cooling system issues in reefer units.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on semi‑trailers, including brakes, lights, tires, and other critical components.
• Ensure all work is completed to company standards and meets all safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and services provided using mobile technology.
• Communicate effectively with customers, providing detailed explanations of repairs and recommending necessary maintenance.
• Operate and maintain the company‑provided service vehicle, ensuring it is stocked with the necessary tools, equipment, and parts for reefer repairs.
• Participate in ongoing training and stay current with industry standards and advancements in reefer technology.

• Proven experience as a Semi Trailer Mechanic, with specific expertise in reefer systems (Thermo King, Carrier, etc.).
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in refrigeration units, electrical systems, and trailer mechanics.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a mobile environment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• EPA certification for refrigerant handling (preferred but not required).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
