• $33.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications (not a flat‑rate)
• ASE incentive of $0.25/hour for each relevant ASE obtained (we pay for the training materials and exams)

As a Diesel Mechanic at First Student, you will play an integral role in ensuring the safety of the children who count on us for a ride to and from school in classic yellow buses.

• Perform maintenance on brakes, suspensions, drive trains, and transmissions.
• Complete work orders.
• Assist with mobile emergency services.
• Use diagnostic skills to troubleshoot issues needing repair work.

• Experience working with automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to obtain a CDL (training provided).
• Mechanic’s tool set.
• Willingness to grow, learn, and develop skillset through ASE testing.
• Ability to impact community meaningfully.
