Pay& Benefits
- $33.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications (not a flat‑rate)
- ASE incentive of $0.25/hour for each relevant ASE obtained (we pay for the training materials and exams)
- Monday‑Friday 6:00 am–3:00 pm full‑time shift

As a Diesel Mechanic at First Student, you will play an integral role in ensuring the safety of the children who count on us for a ride to and from school in classic yellow buses.
Responsibilities- Perform maintenance on brakes, suspensions, drive trains, and transmissions.
- Complete work orders.
- Assist with mobile emergency services.
- Use diagnostic skills to troubleshoot issues needing repair work.
- Experience working with automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicles.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to obtain a CDL (training provided).
- Mechanic’s tool set.
- Willingness to grow, learn, and develop skillset through ASE testing.
- Ability to impact community meaningfully.
- Individuals without a college degree.
- Veterans or those with military experience.
- Those returning to the workforce.
- Those seeking hourly, not flat‑rate, employment.
