Security Technician – 6‑Month Contract‑to‑Hire

Location: Central/North Jersey
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

We are looking for a skilled Security Technician to join our team on a 6‑month contract‑to‑hire basis. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience installing and servicing IP‑based security systems in commercial and industrial settings.

• Install access control systems, electronic door and lock hardware.
• Run and terminate cables, and troubleshoot installation issues.
• Maintain a professional appearance and communicate effectively with customers.
• Travel field‑based calls across Central and North Jersey; use own vehicle during the contract period.

• Installation and servicing of CCTV systems.
• Installation and servicing of Card Access systems.
• Installation and servicing of Burglar/Fire Alarm systems.
• Strong construction knowledge; ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills.

• Operate hand and power tools; lift up to 50 lbs; install/service security devices.
• Clear communication with customers and team members.
• Climb ladders and work at heights (12–32 ft. or higher using man lifts).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook).
• Recognize and identify colors.
• Dependable and punctual attendance.
• Work full‑time schedule and overtime as needed.
• Available for travel, including nights and weekends.
• Wear company uniform and maintain a neat appearance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.

Pay range: $28.00–$32.00 /hr.
