The Warehouse Professionals are essential to our mission, supporting Food Distribution across NYC. Responsibilities include selecting, shipping, receiving, inventory counts, and operational tasks.
This role involves building pallets for our partner agencies, requiring accuracy and adherence to documentation, using forklifts and electronic pallet jacks. Maintaining a clean and safe environment is mandatory.
The position demands lifting cases repeatedly, standing, walking, and other physical activities throughout the shift.
PrimaryJob Duties
- Drive power/electric pallet jacks to build pallets according to load sheets or voice pick systems.
- Mark load tickets for out-of-stock items.
- Wrap pallets and stage/load into trucks.
- Complete paperwork and ensure truck checks.
- Handle partial and mixed pallets appropriately.
- Experience in warehouse operations, including order picking, forklift operation, and storage.
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Work with racking systems and load/unload pallets.
- Collaborate with team members and uphold professional conduct.
- Follow safety policies and maintain equipment.
- Check for contamination, expiration, or unsafe storage conditions.
- Complete daily tasks and communicate effectively.
- Maintain a respectful and professional attitude.
