Responsibilities:

As a Handyperson, you will be responsible for:

• Providing operational and maintenance support for electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
• Performing general maintenance for residential units and the rest of the building, such as:
  • Painting
  • Drywall Repair
  • Carpentry Work
  • Light Bulb Replacements
  • Plumbing
  • Equipment Repair

• Maintaining the proficiency of fire, life, health, and safety systems.
• Delivering 5-star service to residents, guests, and fellow team members.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

If you:

• Have a high school diploma or GED and a vocational/technical background.
• Have at least 2 years of experience working with basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Can perform painting, carpentry, and finish work.
• Have worked with fire, life, health, and safety systems.
• Communicate well with residents regarding the status of their maintenance requests.
• Maintain confidentiality of guest and resident information.
• Certifications including:
  • Certificate of Fitness to Operate and Maintain Air Compressors (A-35)
  • Certificate of Fitness for Low Pressure Oil Burner Operator (P-99)
  • Certificate of Fitness for Citywide Sprinkler Systems (S-12, S-13)
  • Certificate of Fitness for Supervision of Bulk Oil Storage Facility (P-13)
  • The EPA 608 Universal Certification
