, the largest authorized Blue Bird School Bus dealership in New York State currently has an immediate opening for a Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technician in our Chittenango, NY location.

New York Bus Sales is a full-service dealership offering sales, service, parts and graphics. We provide safe, dependable buses for our customers and professional services to meet their needs.

The Primary Function of the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technician is to perform pre-delivery inspections on all types of buses. The PDI Tech will modify non-com DOT specifications.

Supervision- the PDI Technician performs a variety of routine duties within established policies and procedures or by referral to the supervisor's guidelines. Most assignments are completed with little supervision.

• Understand DOT requirements with relation to School and Commercial buses.
• Read and understand PDI work orders as to what is required on the bus.
• Modify each bus, if necessary, to meet DOT and customer specifications with regards to seat placement, air systems, chassis and body.
• Maintain a professional relationship with DOT inspector and work with them on inspection day.
• Follow all prescribed safety methods and perform work safely.

Full-time, Monday thru Friday, Day shift.

Requirements

• Knowledge of DOT requirements for commercial and school vehicles.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Read and understand DOT and Blue Bird specification sheets.
